Chantalo is the independent design practice of Chantal, a fashion and textile designer creating original artwork and print concepts for fashion.

​

Born in England and raised across London, Houston and Den Haag, Chantal developed an eclectic, bohemian sensibility shaped by different cultures, landscapes and visual influences. She studied Fashion Design at Falmouth School of Art and Design in the UK, followed by Textile Design at Ultimo TAFE in Sydney, Australia.

Her professional background spans fashion design, buying and production, alongside a career in IT sales and marketing. This combination of creative training and commercial experience informs her approach to building Chantalo as both a design practice and an independent business.

​

Following a career break to raise her family, Chantal has returned to her creative practice from the Hunter Valley, NSW. Over the past 18 months, she has been developing new artwork, expanding her digital design skills and rebuilding her portfolio in preparation for Chantalo's next chapter.

​

Her work combines hand-drawn elements with digital techniques, bringing together expressive colour, organic forms and distinctive pattern. Inspired by nature but never confined to it, her aesthetic is bold, feminine and considered, with a focus on creating prints that give fashion collections individuality and character.

Looking ahead, Chantal is focused on developing Chantalo into an independent fashion textile design business, building industry relationships and creating opportunities to collaborate with fashion brands and designers.

Chantalo is a return to a long-held creative ambition, with a renewed focus on original design, commercial opportunity and a lasting commitment to colour, pattern and the art of standing apart.
